Dear colleague,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 17th World Congress of Neurosurgery (WFNS 2022) that will be held from the 13th to the 18th of March 2022 in Bogotá, we would like to send you our warmest greetings and invite you to participate in this presential congress.

We are less than four months away from the celebration of the congress and the Organizing Committee is making all efforts to turn this exceptional event into the greatest meeting point of all neurosurgeons in the world.

In terms of biosafety, we are aware at all times of the sanitary control measures suggested by the WHO and local institutions and we have all the necessary protocols for the good performance of the congress, as well as the full involvement of the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá. All participants will be required to be fully vaccinated to enter Colombia and, for your information, 90% of the population of Bogotá over 12 years old will be fully vaccinated by the end of December 2021, including all the hotels and the convention center staff members.

We would like to mention also that the Latinamerican Congress of Neurosurgery was recently held in Guayaquil (Ecuador) with great success and the participation of 500 neurosurgeons, and that Colombia is currently hosting the Junior Panamerican Games and the World Law Congress with more than 3000 participants.

We have prepared a remarkably attractive scientific program that covers all subspecialties, a fully completed program that has a great commitment of 463 invited speakers who have confirmed their participation in person. With the intervention of all the scientific committees of the WFNS, the program has been structured in: pre-congress courses, ordinary sessions of state of the art and controversies in neurosurgery, plenary sessions, personal neurosurgical practice and research sessions with more than 770 abstracts to be presented, as well as presentations of videos.
