A message by the EANS President Andreas Demetriades

Dear friends and colleagues,

February saw the return of a Verona classic, Bridging Neurosciences and Neurosurgery: New Frontiers in Intraoperative Neurophysiology. In a truly interdisciplinary atmosphere, and with the very fruitful collaboration with the International Society of Intraoperative Neurophysiology (ISIN), a state of the art series of keynote lectures, updates, round table discussions and contributions were delivered.

Outstanding feedback was received throughout, and our warmest congratulations go to Francesco Sala for the excellent organisation, delivery and atmosphere of the meeting, Amarone included:)

We are proud to have now concluded the call for abstracts for the Barcelona 2023 Congress.

With a record high number of abstract submissions, the stage is set for a great scientific forum where original scientific work will be presented and discussed in a variety of formats. The evaluation process has already begun, and soon we will be notifying authors of the outcomes, and opening registrations for the Congress. We thank you for your amazing support.

In parallel, there are indeed other important activities: abstract submission has also opened for our 2023 EANS Vascular Meeting, to be held in beautiful Marseille, France, between 7-8 September 2023.

And we are finalising preparations for our Young Neurosurgeons Meeting and Research Course in Madrid, between 8-10 June 2023.

Be prepared for an excellent occasion, and maybe a special surprise. Registration will open in March, so stay tuned for that.

From the comfort of your home, our webinar series continues with weekly webinars, two this week in fact. And please be reminded that applications for the EANS 2023 Research Fund are open – you could be the winner of one of these awards, so do apply.

Do browse through the topics of our March newsletter and stay connected through our numerous activities.

Best regards,
Andreas Demetriades
EANS President
