The winners of the EANS Leadership in Neurosurgery Scholarship for Diverse Leaders 2021!

This month, we would like to celebrate the two winners of the EANS Diversity Young Physician Leaders Award: Venetia Giannakaki and Gerald Musa. While Giannakaki set up refugee camps in her native Greece during the refugee crisis, Musa set up a program for young girls to promote empowerment and prevent teenage pregnancies in his native country, Zambia. Read more about the achievements of these young leaders here and here.

The EANS would like to thank Novocure and ESMT Berlin for this unique opportunity!

EANS at Brain Innovation Days 2021

On October 12 & 13, the EANS Team attended the Brain Innovation Days – an on-site event taking place in Brussels and additionally streamed online to a wider audience.

The event, which featured 31 inspiring sessions and 43 outstanding speakers, built around the theme “United for Brain Innovation” and explored the importance of brain research & innovation and how it is changing Europe and beyond.

As a Member of the European Brain Council, the co-organizer of the initiative, the EANS was privileged to have its booth in the Exhibition Village and promote our Organization and its mission.

You can still go back to the event programme and learn about the Brain Innovation Days in a nutshell here
