On October 31, 2025, elections for the Director of the State Institution “Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” were held.

A total of 116 ballots were printed for the secret vote; 104 scientific staff members participated in the voting; 104 ballots were found in the ballot box, and 12 ballots remained undistributed.

Eighty-nine voters supported the candidacy of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor M.V. Khyzhniak; 14 voted against; and 1 ballot was declared invalid.

The elections were conducted in accordance with the principles of openness, transparency, secret and free expression of will, voluntary participation, democracy, and equal rights of all participants.

Based on the voting results, by a majority of votes, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor M.V. Khyzhniak was elected as the Director of the State Institution “Romodanov Institute of Neurosurgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”.
