Dr. Vasyuta has completed postgraduate professional training in healthcare management and was awarded the qualification of Healthcare Manager in the specialty of Organization and Management of Healthcare. Her primary research interests are focused on neuro-ophthalmology. Dr. Vasyuta is the author and co-author of more than 130 scientific publications, including methodological guidelines, over 70 peer-reviewed articles, and three monographs. Among them is Neuro-Ophthalmology: Current Issues, the first monograph in Ukraine devoted to this field. She also serves as the Academic Coordinator (Guarantor) of the educational and scientific PhD programme in Specialty I2 Medicine – Neurosurgery at the Romodanov Neurosurgery Institute. Vira A. Vasyuta, MD, DSc, is Deputy Director for Research at the State Institution Romodanov Neurosurgery Institute of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. She is a Senior Researcher, a consultant ophthalmologist of the highest qualification category, a leading specialist in the field of neuro-ophthalmology, Chair of the Ukrainian Neuro-Ophthalmological Association, and Executive Secretary of the Ukrainian Neurosurgical Association (UNA).
